Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager with exceptional Japanese communication skills to lead and manage full software project lifecycles. You will be the primary point of contact for our Japanese clients, responsible for gathering requirements, providing solutions, and fostering strong, long-term partnerships. Your ability to effectively coordinate with internal development teams and manage project risks will be crucial to ensuring successful and high-quality delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire software project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Work directly and closely with Japanese clients to thoroughly gather project requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
- Proactively provide effective IT solutions and recommendations to address client needs and challenges.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting partnerships with our Japanese clients.
- Coordinate seamlessly with cross-functional development teams (Developers, Quality Assurance, Business Analysts, etc.) to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
- Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and effectively manage and resolve issues that arise during project execution.
- Provide regular and comprehensive project updates to both Japanese clients and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience working directly with Japanese clients in a Project Manager or equivalent role.
- Must be proficient in Japanese language (at least JLPT N2 certified), with excellent communication, reading, and reporting abilities.
- Must have experience and a strong track record of effectively communicating with high-level Japanese stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing software development projects utilizing Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience and knowledge within the field of Manufacturing.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and MS Project.
- Proficient in English.
Preferred:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
